Make Your Own Stickers

Updated: Oct 8, 2021

I have been working on a top secret project for the marching band kids. My daughter taught me how to make my own stickers. This was so easy and fun, I thought I’d share with you.

Here’s what you need:

  1. Regular printer paper, any color

  2. Scissors

  3. Parchment paper

  4. Clear packing tape

  5. Marker

Instructions:

  1. Draw or print out the sticker (s) you want on any paper (see my Family Activities Page for stickers to print).

  2. Cut out the sticker(s).

  3. Cut a piece of parchment paper the size you need.

  4. Cut a piece of clear packing tape larger than the sticker.

  5. Stick the tape to the parchment paper. Be sure not to have any creases.

  6. Place the sticker on top of the tape.

  7. Cut a new piece of tape larger than the sticker.

  8. Stick the tape on top of your sticker.

  9. Now your sticker looks like it’s been laminated.

  10. Cut out the sticker, leaving about a 1/2 cm border all the way around.

Now you have your sticker! Simply peel the parchment paper off and stick your sticker on your project. Be sure if you are making multiple stickers, to cut them all out individually before placing them on the parchment paper. The sticker has to have the border around it otherwise it will fall apart. I learned this the hard way. 😉
